The Dangers of Black Mold and How to Remediate It

Mold is a type of fungus that can grow indoors and outdoors. Mold spores are found in the air and on surfaces. When mold spores land on a wet or damp surface, they start to grow.

Mold can cause health problems. Some people are allergic to mold. They may have a stuffy nose, itchy eyes, and wheezing. People with asthma may have more asthma attacks when they are around mold.

Mold can also cause serious health problems in people with weakened immune systems. People with cancer, HIV/AIDS, and organ transplant recipients are at a higher risk for infections from mold.

If you think you have a mold problem, you should call a mold remediation specialist. Mold remediation is the process of removing mold from your home.
