Restoration Services for Tennessee’s Agricultural Sector after a Disaster

After a disaster, Tennessee’s agricultural sector needs restoration services to help farmers and ranchers recover and get back to business. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Agricultural Disaster Recovery Program provides financial and technical assistance to farmers and ranchers who have lost crops, livestock, or farm buildings and equipment due to a natural disaster.

The Agricultural Disaster Recovery Program is a state-funded program that is administered by the TDA. The program provides financial assistance to farmers and ranchers who have suffered losses due to a natural disaster, such as a tornado, hurricane, flood, or drought. The program also provides technical assistance to farmers and ranchers who need help recovering from a disaster.

The Agricultural Disaster Recovery Program is available to farmers and ranchers who have suffered losses due to a natural disaster that occurred on or after January 1, 2017. To be eligible for assistance, farmers and ranchers must have suffered a loss of at least 25 percent of their crops, livestock, or farm buildings and equipment.

If you are a farmer or rancher who has suffered losses due to a natural disaster, you may be eligible for assistance from the Agricultural Disaster Recovery Program. For more information about the program, contact the TDA at 1-800-342-8206 or visit the TDA website at www.tn.gov/agriculture.
