The Tennessee Disaster Assistance Program offers financial assistance for temporary housing, home repairs, and other necessary expenses to eligible homeowners and renters who have been displaced by a disaster. The program also provides grants for small businesses and agricultural producers who have suffered economic losses as a result of a disaster.
In addition to financial assistance, the Tennessee Department of Health operates a Disaster Distress Helpline, which provides counseling and support for individuals who are experiencing emotional distress due to a disaster. The helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is free of charge.
